My competition entry is this Pajero which has been highly modified. It has been equiped with a 3-speed gearbox of a hilux/blazer. Since a was to chicken to run my Hilux to the max this is the ultimate solution! The rear shocks are from a TLT-1. It not only looks good but also runs excellent in all three gears!

The gearbox fitted is a standard hilux / blazer 3-speed gearbox. No modifications have been made to this piece of vintage art. Maybe it is not to clear on the pictures but only the shaft that turns the rear axle of a normal hilux / blazer is used in this pajero. The shaft that turns the front axle in first gear is left a side and has no function what so ever. The pajero maintains three speed gearing combined with 4 wheel drive to to the fitting the gearbox on the main (adjusted) gear of the pajero.

Nice mod. Will be interested to know how this runs. The CC01 chassis cars I've seen run in videos seem like they need lower gearing. Best of both worlds, low when you need it, change to top for sealed surface running and more speed. Tutorial on how the mod was done would be great if it works as intended.

That is sweet! I must say that it looks very well built too. I think this is one of the best CC-01 mods out there!

I think you've set the seed for a fantastic project here. I can already see F350/Hilift gearboxes getting dropped into future CC01's.

I hope Tamiya will notice this! A TC chassis is by far superior to any 3-speed when it comes to some nice terrain driving! Yours must be awesome in the field! I simply adore it! Verdikke goe gedaan, Arai!
