Hilux High-lift snow action
My younger brother Eric is in town for Christmas and wanted to play with his new Pentax K10 camera, what a great excuse to go play with my new Hilux, I finished the lights and added the rubber side moldings. It was a balmy -9 degrees Celsius so what a great day for a first run. If you are even considering one of these or even if you have an F-350 already buy this kit anyway. I love my Fords too but now I finally see why those old bruiser bodies are worth so much. :) I'm not really looking for more comments but I felt guilty for getting so many nice feedbacks on the project pics I posted a few days ago I wanted to do some more 'work' to finish it up for the time being. Again thank you so much for all the nice comments I am still a bit shocked by the interest in a worn looking old truck ;)

Thanks guys, I do have the diffs locked but I've never tried snow chains on a model yet miga. but they work really well on my real trucks so I bet they would help my scale trucks go too

you certainly deserved all those comments! the truck has such a perfect look, it suits it and looks realistic without being too fussy or over detailed. The Bruiser and Mounty were radio controlled copies of 1980's show trucks, what you've made is the mountaineer before the custom guys got hold of it! I wish we got some snow over here!
hairyguy4
omg that is one of the best trucks i have ever seen, man you always have the best trucks and pics i may have to get a hilux after seeing this lol, looks like a blast to drive, any chance of a vid?

HI WYOMING,
YOUR TRUCK LOOKS GOOD ON THE MOVE!!!
TELL ERIC THAT HE HAS A GREAT EYE FOR PHOTOS... ACTION SHOTS ARE THE HARDEST PART OF ANY MAG REVIEW I DO.

Hey Seth great pics. I bet your batteries don't last long when its minus 9 degrees. I've never driven on snow, it looks great fun

Nice shots and truck. No antenna really adds realism. Cheers.

Nice! The wait for the ball bearings is terrible. I want to build it so badly (Obviously not bad enough that I want to build it anyway and put the bearings in later). lol

Nice one,i'm thinking to sell my Bruiser and buy a Highlift Hilux.

Thanks again guys, yeah the Rock stompers really grip well Dale, The batteries don't seem to mind the cold at all as they are warm inside before use, I use Sanyo 1900SCR nicds, you'll just have to work on the body then Jesse. Yes and thanks to my Brother for the pictures.
