Humvee (BEFORE)
Got this off the bay for cheap about 3 months ago (before I was a TC member), think there was a global nap in affect when I bid. Wanted a Humvee ever since I discovered TC and saw a camo painted AM General #58154 about a year ago. Couldn't believe it when I won the bid, and was suprised when there was a knock at the door less than 24hours after my winning bid by the courier firm. What was truly magic was unwrapping it and discovering an amazing matt camo paint job by Tamiya. The pics I've posted dont do it justice. It came with all electrics, manual, battery etc, the box had never been opened, there wasn't even a spec of dust on the black chassis.
My intention was to treat it mean like my King Blackfoot but I've succumb to the shelf queen ideal because of the camo paint job. Sooner or later I will get another Humvee to thrash, during the meantime I plan to do a few things to this beauty. Matt blacken springs, wheels, wheel nuts and 16 size screw heads at rear end of chassis, have no idea how so give us a shout if you know how or have any black bits (preferably matt). Will remove bumper too, attach a spring loaded arial (came with the plastic sleeve type unlike the kit version) and anything else I can think off to make it even more authentic. Have always liked the AM General, not keen on H2 onwards etc, its just an absolute monster of a truck, saw one in the flesh near where I live and it was huge. Awesome! Hope you guys like it too.

Tamiya really does a nice job on these, I looked one over at my LHS. There are a lot of cheap ugly Hummers to be had so saving it for display makes sense
