This is already my fifth mini! I really can’t stop building these little cars from tamiya. I do have so many ideas for these cars. This time I wanted to make a rally car with working front and rear lights. I also wanted to do an original paintjob, so this time not the usual black (or coloured) fenders and a white roof. I’m really happy how the paintjob looks now, it took some time to mask, but it was worth it.

I still had some Lancia 037 headlights lying around, so the front lights where done quite easily. For the rear I used some modified F-350 high lift rear light buckets. They fit really well, there’s even space for two other lights.
Inspired by Grahoo’s mini with roof rack, I decided to build one for my mini too. It just looks so cool on this car! The exhaust is made from an aluminium pipe.

I used an M-01 chassis for the mini as it’s almost impossible to fit the interior in the car when mounted on the regular M-03 chassis.
Think this car deserves some better pictures taken outside. Comments are welcome.

Very nice looking Mini you have there. I like the lights and the paint is definitely a plus point since it isn't the same old thing. I know I have seen the wheels somewhere before, but please remind me where they are from. Thanks for sharing.

I love the colour scheme. And quite a lot of detail on it too... Lights, Roof rack, drivers... And those wheels are lovely... They look a bit like the Suzuki Swift wheels I have, but these look even better... So where did you get them/what brand/type are they?

Wow! I'm really impressed by the amount of comments, glad you all like this mini too. @crash camer: the wheels came from rcmart and are from 'north craft'. @vin 87: It wasn't that hard to make it fit, you just have to cut away enough .

Wow! You are one of the best kit designers I've seen. I love when people make more 'personal' choices for color schemes and everything else. You are an amazing one at that! Cheers

Thanks tamiyaonebay! I mostly try to make something different, it just gives me that special or unique feeling which an box art model mostly lacks.
