My cave
Had a major tidy up in the garage last year, here's some before and after.
The idea of the shelves is that they have holes cut for the wheels to go through so the car sits on it's chassis and the shelf slides forward to remove the car.
Basically an oversize version of a slot car box :)

The drawer that is open is about 3' from the floor. It'd be something a lot more delicate than shins that you'd catch
