Couldn't help meself
Only poser shots, sun actually made an appearance today - still about 4 degrees out though.
This one's a droop chassis; It runs with the shocks compressed (internal springs, under shock pistons) to keep the COG down.
If the front right wheel goes over something, it's the rear right shock that extends, followed by the front left
Transmission is an RC4WD R2 with disconnect/dig (R2D)
What this does is disconnect the rear driveshaft, to either freewheel or lock (2 positions)
Freewheel comes in handy for climbs and descents where the rear end may flip the truck, so the front just pulls the rear end as required - Imagine climbing a vertical wall, at almost 90 degrees, the rear wheels would normally force the truck to fall backwards. Disconnected, they have no influence
The brake comes in handy for tight turns - the rear can be locked tight, and skidded round - sounds wierd, but you really have to see it to appreciate what it does
Front axles have 'clocked' Cs - these rotate the axles forward, but keep the knuckles vertical - the rotation improves the UJ angle
Rear end is locked up, as dig compensates for 4Ws
Topped off with some sweet GMade/Junfac Mudrocks with custom alu lock rings
If you liked those pictures, you should see these...
