Toe Lift! Part 1
had this on the go for awhile now and is not as easy as i first thought, infact making the body fit the chassis was a complete nightmare! :-( the nearest i usually get to body swaps is a lunchbox on a pumpkin etc ;-) so i'm firmly out of my comfort zone but having fun sometimes and other times swearing alot seems to help, lol i'm adding it to showroom as its now starting to look like something that resembles an R/C again, i have a lot of jobs that still need doing including filling in the shell holes, add extra details, some working lights, re-work the rear suspension and make a trailer for it, i'm finally happy with the rear wheels positioning now but have to admit the prop is now hanging on for dear life! the shell / wheels / tyres came from T/C members so thanks to mike & andy for great trades! thanks for viewing! any advice always welcome. :-)

Great job, I’ve been trying the same thing for what seems like years now with not much luck.

Its looking very good, careful it can be addicting, I've cut up so many Touaregs I can't count them easily. But when you do that it starts to look and sit right like a truck should, very nice work!

thanks for the comments guys! i did start to think i should've gone down the blackfoot route, i think shortening these chassis' is easier than lengthing them! but i think this will look alot better when finished as i do like these bodies. @ ranger blue: ive sent you a mail, hope it helps

Nice work. The CC/XC always make nice conversions.
How did you stretch the wheelbase to fit the body? It look very good!

to keep the story short: i added home made brackets to the standard rear links gaining a couple of cm's, then completely closed the gap between bed and cab by nut & bolting through the 2 parts of plastic underneath the rear window which gaining a few more mm' and made the body 1 piece and solid, in hindsight it may have been easier to cut the rear bed and use the BFG's instead of rock cruiser tyres, but i liked both as is and imo i prefer the look of them, its not finished and i still need to move the rear suspension which is currently in its standard position with limited travel, hope this help you a bit!
