A couple months work later.... NOW SOLD to Onetenth
Got this off Ebay Canada Mid July last year. After I tore it apart, the chassis was left in my brake fluid vat for a couple of months for the nasty red and black paint to come off... also needed to rebuild the nose as it was demolished , good thing the bonnet was spared. Most of the parts were picked off from Ebay and thanks to TC members Teeforce for the roof , Sladoz for a trade on the small nerf bar backings. Rear shocks are from re-rel Brat. The receiver batt cover and the front lamps are impossible to find, so I scratched build it from Styrene card & some wire mesh. The thing is not glued, it can be popped off . The lamps I decided to use a rough riders, but decided to omit them due to the lack of scale apprearance. The rear lamps were scratched build. Its made of a bearing cover (idea came from TC member , sorry cannot remember your name) and some old CRP truck coversion body post (yeah they are white...like RC10 stuff). Sprayed with TS28 can spray, camo done with Tamiya Acrylics with my cheap Badger airbrush. So no fine camo, only blotches... Weathering done with diluted Tamiya enamels Khaki Drab+Flat earth applied with big brush. Full electrics installed , I think I will run it lightly when the rainy season passes... BTW its a silver can painted green, and the end bell painted as well.
In summary , one of very enjoyable resto, but finding parts is really tough.... just have to be patient.
Comments welcomed.. thanks for looking.
Cheers
Tom
