Will I maybe crazy for trying this one,But here I go. I bought a Revell 1/9 scale Type 82 kit and want to make it into an RC. I am going to try and use an SRB based chasiss to have a scale VW look. I may make it a civilian model out of it like the VW Thing in the US. Comment and ideas welcome.

Yes. Very nice idea. Thought about someting like this as well. I have finished the motor already. The motor alone consists of 350.000 million bits (sort of..)

I need the wheelbase to be 11 inchs what is the wheelbase of the Rover.

get the hummer, or a TA01 chassis, its 280mm exactly 11 inches. even better just get an old TA01 of ebay ( i picked up a TA02 for under £20 not so long ago.

This has already been done.. think it might have been chef_bikes who did it using an SRB chassis.
