Found some pics of the real Countach LP500R (chassis no. 1120144).
This is in fact a modified LP400 (not S!) with a 4754cc engine.
Custom build for a Japanese customer, 1975.
Special features: black/alu BBS mesh wheels, white leather interior, special striping, wing with wing-end plates (the LP400 had no wing at all) and the slightly wider rear wheel fender.
Small detail is the round signal light which is normally square shaped.
Check the 'Real Car Reference SIG' for more pics of Tamiya cars.

I totally agree, its an amazing looking car, retro and futurisitc at the same time.

That car is certainly a golden oldie that hasn't aged since it came out of the factory. Just like the 1974 Lancia Stratos. Cars that has held up against the test of time quite well.. If only we were that lucky!!!!
