This is my Range Rover XC Action, great to fun to drive - shots from my Compo shots for the April Compo.

The body is from New Bright and is lovely detailed. The wheelbase was slightly adapted and the body holes drilled to fit the body on the XC-Chassis.

My Compo entry's concept was to tow the Range Rover off a mud gap with the Hilux

hope you like them :)

cool Range Rover SUV fitted on a XC Chassis with Rally Block Tires with the Hilux rims from the Hilux fits him perfect with the Hilux again Tow Action Test shot

ok, now i understand better.... - Sorry, but this car isn't for sale.
This chassis is a CC01 chassis from the Tamiya kit #58324 VW Race Touareg, which you can buy in your local hobby shop and it's wheelbase will nearly fit the body. It will fit perfectly, when you adapt the chassis wheelbase for about 4mm. It did this on the front axle, cutting the front suspension. You will have to cut those body post inside the Range Rover body away. And then calculate and gauge the cc01 body posts with the Range Rover to drill the holes in the Range Rovers body. - I did answer this to your given email yesterday, but maybe you did not receive this email - hope that helps - if you have any other questions - just comment or mail

just have a look in my showroom there are pics of the 'clean' Range Rover after washing....

9-Apr-2008

hi again do you have buy the whole vw tourag or can you just buy the chassis

_miga_

9-Apr-2008

you only need the CC01 chassis from the VW Touareg, so you can buy it 2nd hand - the kit supplied tires do not fit the range rover. - but a new VW Touareg kit isn't that expensive here around, but a 2nd hand will be cheaper.

9-Apr-2008

thank you its so dissapointing that you are not in england u would like to race you one day you have been very helpful

9-Apr-2008

cheers - i think you will find some company over there - maybe you'll get overhere in some times

9-Apr-2008

yeah hopefully and your car is such bueatiful thing but is it good off road

_miga_

9-Apr-2008

for sure! The CC01 chassis is top offroad! you can lock the rear diff (kit supplied) and i've locked the front diff with some hotglue, too - With both diffs locked and 4WD you can nearly go everywhere, but note: it's not a race car - For onroad driving, it's better not to lock the diffs

hi again i found an cc-01 chassis for the price of 16.50 does that come with the motors and those extras i know about the wheels though

_miga_

15-Apr-2008

If it's a CC01 chassis with it's original wheels - no the don't fit the Range Rover, because they are to large. 98mm diameter. I've installed original Rally Block tires with 66mm of diameter. My rims are from kit#58397 Toyota Hilux - When it doesn't contain a motor, a typ 540 Motor should always fit, but i'm not sure if i have understood your question....

dmack_rangeroversport

15-Apr-2008

nope you have so where can i get the motor and the hilux rims and tires will the chassis come with suspention

_miga_

15-Apr-2008

i'd say just go to your local hobby shop and buy a Mabuchi 540er Motor - i think the Hilux rims are not available seperatly from the kit, but there are many other nice 1:10 rims (wide 26mm), which should fit - as said, just have a look at your local hobby shop or inet or ebay... - hope that helps

_miga_

15-Apr-2008

yep the suspension should be included, too - Did you ever buy a Tamiya kit? And have you ever build a Tamiya car?

dmack_rangeroversport

15-Apr-2008

nope im only 13 years old thats why i need help and thank you for your help but i need to ask you a question which paint would go better purple or blue i want something diffrent

_miga_

15-Apr-2008

i don't like purple on this car

dmack_rangeroversport

16-Apr-2008

ok so blue it is and do you know the pajero rims are the same to the hilux and where did you get the tires because my local hobby shop is rubbish hardly any tamiya kits there

_miga_

16-Apr-2008

yes the are the same rims, but the color of the Hilux rims is a little darker.

I am a Landrover nut and I have been thinkihg about buying the Rangerover from my local Maplins and putting it on a TA01 chassis. You have now decided for me. It's a must do. It looks great in the sand and I even have a spare set of Hilux wheels and tyres. My F-350 is running standard Blackfoot rims and tyres and they work OK. If you ever come to England don't forget to bring it with you.
