Here is an original kyosho optima chain driver project that has been going on for awhile. It had 2 original “sand super” tires and original wheels all around when I bought it. Not long after I bought this car I found a guy that labeled two stock optima wheels and tires as hpi wheels and tires on ebay and I got them for a very cheap price. They ended up being in very good shape so that was a big 'score' with this car. I have put in a esc, a silver can motor with a new small pinion gear, a hitec receiver and I put a new servo in so now I can drive it around. I have taken it for a spin and it is amazing how good the car is suspension wise off road. I think the old gold shocks I have had sitting around for years that I threw on helped. UPDATE: I got an rc10 body that I “made” fit (home brew mount on the back) and did a red and white scheme on it… doesn’t look so bad.

I'll look into pricing a kamtec and rc10 body and go from there. Thanks for the info

Nice work. I did the same with my Turbo Optima!
