not herd of Naro servo? sorry to be ignorant are they available in the UK, is it a direct fit onto the steering axle? i take it you control with a 'mixer' on the rc handset?

Still waiting for my trailer, but working on the Carson curtainsider at the moment

Yep the servo is made by supertec. heres a link to one [Click here]
I have the servo setup on a Y-lead from the front axle so it turns opposite when driving. I had to make a custom bracket to fit the servo on the axle.

Thanks for the information, to couple & uncouple the trailer i take you just unlpug the servo lead? Wonder what Tamiya were thinking with this model, does anyone know if they are bringing out an upgrade/conversion to operate the rear steering? Either way nice looking model, looking forward to seeing the finished model!

Hi ant88. Hi i've just built and finished my reefer, and built a Volvo to pull it. I found that if you want a closer coupling, reverse the 5th wheel plate. This also eleviates the fouling of the mudguards if you want to leave them on having fitted the 'electric legs'

Slight flaw in using the truck/trailer steering combined-if your truck is pulling straight, but your trailer still angled behind the trailer would still need the wheels steering until the truck and trailer are back in line again ?

Yeh this is a good point. At the moment this is only a temp setup. The plan is to make it work from the 5th wheel. Already got some rough plans, but like most things will take time to perfect

Yep, custom CNC'd the part to fit a Naro HP servo. Still requires some tinkering thou to get it to steer from the 5th wheel rather then the current setup of a Y lead from the steering.
