This was my first Tamiya. Got it in 88. Had Technigold motor, Ball bearings, double front shocks. Bought a rotten donor car from Canada. Disassemeled both cars, cleaned real well and rebuilt it. Gave it new wheels, esc and a TZ. The rest is true vintage. Have to find new body to make it perfect. Also made some mounts to make it stronger. Take a look at the pictures for reference.

New wheels on the snow This is how it looked from 1988 - 2008 Making it stronger Two fully disassembeled vintage Thundershots The best from two cars + new wheels, motor and esc On the shelf, but needs a new body..

Looks like a great buggy, lot of snow you have there too!

Looks great, wish we had some snow here in Perth, Australia to run my cars in, the best we can manage is a bit of drizzly rain.

I really like those wheels/tires! I need some for my Vanquish, what are they?

Picture is taken in the Norwegian mountains, 170 cm deep snow and hard surface. Excellent for cool running. Wheels + tires are from 3racing and goes with standard Tamiya hex hubs. You can find them at stellamodels.
