Here's my newest project. I'm a huge fan of Wild Willy and I decided to make him a new ride!

It all started with a Blitzer Beetle shell, which I've trimmed to give it that Baja 500 look. Then I took a old Manta Ray chassis and converted it to a short wheelbase one by changing the bathub and propshaft to a TA02 one, I also used the TA02 front suspension to give the car a nice wide looking back (True Wild Willy style ;) ). The wheels are from a Dark Impact.

I still have to finish the body by filling the holes etc and paint the whole thing (including mr Willy).

Comments and tips are very welcome!

Hey! that looks great and it even looks fast standing still! How is the driving do?

Thanks! I didn't drove it yet, but I don't expect Durga like handling. The front is quite stiff, which is bad for off road.

That looks great. Nice project!
Are you going to shorten the distance between the front bumper and the hood of the car?

Off coarse I'll keep you posted! Btw I already shortened the distance and mounted the body a few mm forward. Looks even better if you ask me

Very nice idea! It works very good alltogether: the body, chassis, willy, etc.. Very, very, nice

Being creative with the TONS of parts you have laying around. Cheers to you! I need to do the same... Nice custom ride!

Thanks! Well Skotto I don't have that many parts lying around, actually I had to order quite a lot for this project (Willy himself, the wheels/tires, front suspension etc). But with the dollar currancy these days that wasn't a problem at all
