This showed up from the Netherlands this morning which is on the other side of the World from me. It seems to have arrived safely and had been wrapped in the most unusual way including a leopard skin garment and a dish washing sponge. I'm hoping to restore this as much as possible starting with trying to find a copy of the manual.

Note the dish sponge in the top right

Well it seems that the leopard skin did it's job and scared off the people who wanted to open it before you could

Cover an old model with it and scare local cats or perhaps a tarzan loin cloth for you. Keep the missus happy and she'll turn a blind eye to more purchases. Method in the madness. Great model and seeing your landjump know this will be another great project. Restoring one of my Landjumps at the mo.

Wild packaging

The ultrasonic cleaner wont remove every thing but it will loosen things enough to be cleaned with a dremel. I have removed tires from their rims that were glued on after 20 minutes in the cleaner. IMHO they are a good investment for restos and cleaning cars. Just remember to take the ball bearings out or it will suck the lubricant out of them. by

Well, the Dutch are a bit wierd, yes. I thought that was a Tamiya Leopard, in that case it was the most hilarious packaging I've ever seen!

We need a weird packaging competition. Like the tamiya leopard joke. But dont tigers have the stripes? leopards cant change their spots
