This isn’t going to apply to many people but I thought I would share how to get a more scale look out of a F103 if you are using an older style body. This is basically how to use smaller tires on the front of the car. What you need to do is cut away from the lower section of the up right, then add a spacer on top of the up right to make up for the gap now created on the king pin. After doing this the king ping will be sticking out to far at the top and will hit the wheel. You must trim the king pin a little to clear the wheel but not to much where it will fall out of the arm. If you are using the Gold color set of front springs you should think about installing a spacer on the king pin for the springs as the Gold color springs are very soft and you can loose some ride height. Installing a spacer will not change the spring rate it just affects the ride height. With this set up you can now run 1/12th foams on your F103. This can be helpful if it is hard to find 1/10th foams at your LHS.

Looks like a 312T2 body. I like your mods, outstanding. Thanks for sharing.

The body is a 312T2 from Cross and it is a good body if you dont want to worry about the Tamiya body being expensive to replace. They also have a M23 body that might be next for me after a few more races The mod hubs can be turned up side down to go back to normal height if needed so nothing really lost but doing this.

You did such a good job I had to read it over again and look at the pictures a few times to realise what you did, well done, very factory looking. I love the vintage racer look of the body, looks great.
