Hi, the little Cooper was an impulse buy off eBay, just had to have it. It's a perfect match for my beloved 1:1 Mini. Lovely, aren't they?

Thanks guys! The 1:1 kit was a once in a lifetime find with 38.000 km on odo and a new car smell still attached to it. As it was only driven in excellent weather, absulutely rust free! So much fun to drive!

Nothing is better than a replica of your real car! Nice find, and yes they are lovely

I love pics with the 1:1 version. All the mini Mini needs would be that lovely script on the hood stripes and maybe some black lines on the chrome grill to give some depth. They are both great looking cars.

Not only Minis, but I have a soft spot for old (british) cars in general. I also have a 1970 MGB GT and my Dad has an 1957 Austin Healey 100/6. There's something about the style of those cars, I guess.

I have a 1985 Capri, its amazing.
Thats the first time I've ever seen a mini look massive!

I love Minis - doesn´t matter what size they are!
But you make me want a body of my car - does anybody know a body of a Fiat Seicento?

Your 1:1 kooks like amazing to the value of the proper mini,s is going up. A rust free example is a really nice find as they were not rustproofed as well as they could have been .

Just love it! Dante77, did you get the original boxes with these beautiful cars? I was just wondering how long it took the orginal owner to assemble the 1:1..?! or did he buy it RTR? However, just judging by how nice it turned out, he must've done a pretty good job. You must be glad it's a runner, as it saves you the time and effort (let alone space!!) of having to make a make a shelf for the 1:1 Take care..! and Njoy!

Thank you! I think the 1:1 was a RTR. But the constant rattle and and careless assembly makes you think otherwise!

OOOOOHHHH!!!!! You saying us Brits built our cars carelessly Well we did but that like our Italian friends adds character so no car even that looks the same aren't So there

Haha, Wayne! Thing is, the Italians built the Mini under license (Innocenti Cooper) and surprisingly it was of better quality! But I wouldn't love my Mini if I was after perfection...

Nahh they where both rubbish yet BRILLIANT It kind of going out with a super model thats perfect in everyway but no personality nice at first but you would soon get bored. You know what I'm saying Funnily enough I saw a dead ringer 1/1 cooper the other day in british racing green the exact same as my recent tamiya purchase. I nearly bought it!!!! Denise (my wife) wouldn't have been impressed though. Buying a model car to match your 1/1 is one thing. Buying a 1/1 to match a model car is another I never tire of looking at these pics. As Tony the Tiger would say there GREEEEEAAAAAT!!!
