I love these german sports cars, and while I was stripping paint off a used 911 GT3 shell I bought some time ago, I decided I needed the complete kit =)
It's my first TL-01 chassis, and I can't wait to start the assembly of something different than the TT-01 chassis. I will probably build it as a civilian instead of box-art. Maybe black with the decals, and use the used shell as a runner.
Comments are always welcome =)

I think it's difficult to find a nice color for this body, but I love those black Taisans, so I'm leaning towards black. The rear wing is maybe too agressive for a street car?

yes, i like the black porsche look also, although a shade of silver would be nice, even a dark grey metallic.

AS lexan bodies are the future, I wonder why Tamiya still have so many nice TS colors and so few PS colors.

i wonder why lexans are the future???? that is the real question for me. they are in fact, a plastic model company. are they going to start making all thier static models with lexans in the future also??? bring back the abs bodies, all of them. they are so much nicer.

I agree, much easier to modify and make a uniqe abs body than a lexanshell. But still, Tamiya still have very detailed lexan shells. But I miss the cockpits and body acessories.

i have just built one of these, painted it box art but bont like it,painted on inside so i think ill paint it a street color on the outside. i agree with you about the rear wing wouldnt look right on a road car!looking forward to see what you do with yours!

It was actually after seeing yours I decided I wanted one too =) Did you paint it just white on the inside? I have seen a clean white one, and thought that one looked very nice!

No I painted it red and white box art. All white would look ok!

Still haven't painted my used body. I will need to paint that one from the outside, I'll let you know how it turns out. I think it won't be as shiny as it gets when painted from the inside..even with clear coats.

Hmmm, I prefer Porsches without the rear spoilers and lean more to the old classic styles. I wish Tamiya would come out with something like the old 911T. I'd do that race style straight away. I reckon you should keep it one colour, slick and clean. Like the others say, I reckon white 'cos other stuff should go with it if you want to change it.

Very nice cars, I'm a huge fan of the TL01 I have more miles on them than just about any other touring car chassis except TA-02, Porsches look good no matter what color you use
