My Son's QD Clodbuster
this is my son's QD Clodbuster
bargain of the century as it was free! was in a sorry state mind, but a bit of trawling around, and i've found some spares
when i first got it, it wouldn't go, so i assumed that the circuit board was dud, so i've ripped that out and replaced it with my tt-o1 msc and a new servo for the steering. modded the battery box to accept a qd battery pack, which is now running the led's, as i use a normal 7.2v nicad to run the truck. its surprisingly quick, does wheelies and is quite happy off-road! my son is also happy that it will do skids too!!!
its painted blue with black stripes, but this shell has really seen better days, so gonna use it as a basher. mr postman brought a new qd blackfoot shell, tamiya qd pistol controller, blackfoot sticker set, new front and rear bumpers, pin spike tyres, cva shocks and an uprated motor today, which i'll try and fit in tomorrow after work. tyres are going on a spare set of qd gold monster rims i found in a LHS for £7!!
plenty more i'd like to do, maybe go mad and run a brushless set-up oneday!!! need to rebuild the gearbox, as the low-speed makes a horrible racket!
please feel free to leave any comments, any ideas ect
thanks!

This is a super cool project. Your running the original motor with a esc and a 7,2 volt battery?! Would love to watch a vid of this truck in action! Also a nice lot of parts you have gott your hands on, those shocks are the real deal. The oil that comes with it is really thin and make the shocks really soft and nice for this light veicle. I can't add you to the SIG right now because my membership has expired, but I will find a solution soon. Until then, good luck with this cool project!

yep, running a 7.2 thru a mechanical speed controller for the time being, tho may upgrade this to an electronic one when they arrive!
i have got a video of this on the go, i'll try and post it later!

fitted tonite - CVA shocks all round, QD Black motor (that says doesn't fit! but does if you swap the pinion gear over). the shocks have made a massive difference, and i have a bottle of shock fluid spare too.

oh, and has anyone got a spare roll-bar lamp? one of mine is broken and it won't fix!
