Project FTO - Stage 4 - Prototype evaluation

(For history check out the previous 4 chapters)


Keith got a prototype to me for some evaluation, complete with a rear wing. No decals yet, but they are in progress.


Had great fun masking it up and then even more fun painting it due to paint can problems (will use Tamiya paint on the final versions if I can get hold of some).


Got some issues with the sides spreading badly, so Keith is looking into how to solve that. The rear wing was hard, and ended up looking a bit worse for my sadly lacking skills.


I've included flash shots at the end to give a better idea of the colour (candy red, metal flake silver, smoke). The wheels actually match the colour in daylight!

Got a diagram for proper functional LEDs based on what the car is doing. Just need the skills to make it.
