My ultimate favourite supercar, now in 1/12...

Taking pics between rain showers is quite annoying but here are some pics of my new Shelf Queen.

Ok, here we go: this time, Tamiya got it right: a proper LP500S.

Ok, now I had a problem, I always wanted to build a LP500R which is in fact a LP400 with a 5 liter engine (ok, a 4700cc one).

Nevertheless, I used the decals of the vintage kit to let it look like a LP500R, now it's a LP400 with fenders...lol!

I took the BBS rims of the TTG Porsche 934 and painted them black.

Although they are a bit out of scale, it still looks pretty good, don't you think?

I also added a cockpit which is home made (see link at the bottom).

The usual things were done: matt window trims (Revell #2), simulating the 'Periscopa roof' of the LP400(or S) by adding tape on the roof, correct mirrors and the whiper of the original C-tree which comes with the kit...

Note the front as it has vertical vents instead of horizontal ones like the real LP400s...

I also added correct wing end plates.

The real one has a different shaped wing and wing stay but I got lazy this time...

The Countach is, besides the Ferrari F40, my all time favourite supercar...I got another body and this is gonna be a white LP500S.

PS I didn't use the screws for the sides, I used black double sided adhesive tape, looks way better.
