Awhile back, I picked up a Rising Storm kit on the notion that I would eventually build it. Then I saw the Ballistic Brushless 959 shell and realized I would purchase one of these. Well... several months later, I still had not purchased the shell, but while doing a search on fleabay, I found a new built virgin Baja King (TL-01B ) that included a Ballistic shell. WHAT A SWEET DEAL!!...so I snapped it up just for the shell. 8D [not sure what I'm going to do with the TL01B yet]
The shell was prepainted, decals applied and UNUSED! - only the mounting holes were drilled. [There always seems to be abundance of RCers that buy, build and then loose interest.]

Anyways, I picked a few of the required parts, wheels, tires, etc. to make this work on the DF02, cleaned up the cuts on the wheel wells and then printed up some 'wheel spoke' vinyl decals for the tamiya 2.2 dish wheels and a couple of headlight decals to add to the realism.
I'm very happy with the results for this runner. :)

Now, I just need to install a brushless setup and she's ready to go.
Also need to find a driver/cockpit for this body. The scorcher driver was a tad too small on the size scale. :(

Sweet! I want one of these regardless of the hefty price-tag.
