Hi, here's my work in progress. As you can see from the pics the chassis was a Super Champ. This has been converted to Scorcher Spec with a lighter gauge wire for the torsion bars for suspension that actually works. It's fully ball raced and the motor is a Parma 'Renault Turbo' (well that's what it says on the can any ideas??). Lots done more to do. The shell has been restored to as high a standard as I can manage. Although not Boxart ( I figure there's enough of them out there plus that french blue looks god awful to me) I have followed the Boxart lines. Dunno why but most of the ones I have seen have the line between white and blue on the side panles in the wrong place. Plus the chrome strip is chrome. I welcome comments and any suggestions to improve it (bar the french blue) lol.

Update 21/08

Went to the beech today, first time the sun has been out for a while. It's only 5 mins drive away. I found myself actually being careful how I drove the Scorcher. That's when the allarm bells started to ring. It could be in danger of becoming a display only model.

I only have one shelf queen and that is purely for nostalgic purposes (1984 all original Grasshopper complete with box and instructions. The box still has the original price sticker on it).

So I think it's time it went to a new home.
Apart from the drive battery, what's there will be included.

This excludes the Blitzer in the last pic lol.

A work in progress Te chassis as it came note custom rear tyres!!! The shell as it came The last run

Excellent work to say the least I like the color and the rear view mirrors, they gave more realism. I bet you threw away those tires

Really like this and the choice of colour too. Definitely has an old and original feel to it. I think for show I'd take the bumper off coz that would look so sweet, but obviously for driiving keep it on. Damn fine car, nice one.

Regressing!

Thank for the positive comments. I do have a couple of small alloy bumbers that I made for it. They are fine on sand but anywhere else the Proline protects the fragile bits
