My biggest headache was looking for the hard-to-find indicator lights on the scorcher. [Same goes for the side mirrors.]
I did find a pair - but what a complete waste of $$ when I saw the condition of them in my hands. Sometimes you have to wonder if the photos of the goods for sale have been photoshopped just for the sake of the sale.
Anyways, here's my first attempt at replacement indicators for my WIP scorcher. Made of aluminum and they mount into the nose the same way as the original part. I found the original C2 part [chrome housing] never protruded out far enough on the nose to give it the detail viewing it deserved.
I chamfered the outer edges of the aluminum housing and it's deep enough just to show it's detail on a finished nose as compared to the original housing that I have.
Also, if you take a close look at the orange lens, I've scored the surface with 2 rings to give it a more 'geniune lens' look. :)
I made a bunch of these as I'll be testing a few more out. I'm going to add these indicators to my
beetle blitzer noses, and a couple of the kamtec buggy shells I still have sitting impatiently on my 'to-do' shelf. ;)

Comments are always welcome and appreciated. :)

Nice one. I'm sure there was a guy on the bay who makes these as replacements. I definitely surfed across him one time but didn't really take notice coz I don't have the shell. I just hd a look now but can't see anything but he def. was there before. Nice going anyhow.

ooops! I was wondering what all the comments about '8O' was all about. It was supposed to be a facial expression. I've since corrected this. Thanks for the comments TC members. As for the fella on the bay selling similar replacements, I believe they mount from the front and they are quite pricey. I needed several of these done inexpensively so the best was just to produce them myself. - not too difficult to make PLUS... I'm having a ball working on the lathe. Us older fellas gotta keep our minds and body active.

Talking about slick works, those indicators really look sweet!
