My first attempt at restoring a Sand Scorcher runner, ;) progress so far, completely striped down a rough rider, rebuilt the front axel and suspension, rebuilt the gearbox, the electrics box was to far gone :( so I bought a new reproduction one, the body is a new monster beetle one, new wheels and tires, the exhaust stinger is original (the bottom) but it came without the top part :( so I used a cut down pen, (it looks ok for now) ;) I’m still waiting for a few parts to arrive and then I’ll fit it with new electrics (I’ll keep the original ones in a box to maybe fit later) Paint and fit the scollins interior and then give it a run. :) Thanks for looking. All comments welcome. :)

Sweet, looks like she's off on a desert run, lovely bug, loose the GB flags though I think they bring the look down sorry.

Thanks Seth, its just frustrating trying to find all the parts needed, I think you have to look at it as a long term project

Super looking bug Ian Really nice work on the rack. I wouldn't sticker it up too much just me though.

@old skool, I was just thinking of putting the number on the doors, or should I leave it alone. what do you think? I value your opinion

It's really up to you but I like to make them as you would see them on the road. I haven't seen any on the road with numbers, but that's just me. It will look great what ever you do
