I bought a GTI MKV back in Jan of 2007. Its my 4th GTI and my 7th VW. So when this 58410 came out I dove in. And just for the heck of it, I painted it like my 1:1, tossed the wheels aside and used wheels that are more like the wheels mine came with. Many upgrades in store for this one including a brushless Tekin setup.

The 1:1 has APR, A3 DP, upgraded intercoolers and a new blow off valve. In total it now makes about 235hp at the wheels.

Very very nice indeed. Looks fantastic. I too have a 1:1 GTI MkV and a Tamiya one. Putting the two side by side shows just what a good job Tamiya did with this bodyshell.
I'm currently looking for some wheels that look like the ones on my 1:1.
