These things are H U G E. I believe Schumacher originally released them in connection with Lotus for some kind of promo, but not entirely sure on that.

The chassis is basically a huge piece of alloy with some Cougar mk.1 parts bin bits looking rather lost in the corners....

This is the electric version but Schumacher also did a nitro version, which, with a 3 speed gearbox is ridiculously fast & a bit of handful.

I'm thinking about fitting brushless and Lipos one day, however I've heard they suffer from a lack of steering and traction with high powered electrics because the weight is in the wrong place (and there's too little of it!)

I used to own 2 of these. They were released to promote the Lotus Elise. They sold these at Lotus dealerships as well. Good find.

Nice, my buddy has one of those sitting around in his garage unfinished... looks like the headlight stickers are on upside-down though.

Never thought about the headlight stickers until you mentioned them.. for some reason they look worse in the photos than in reality. I looked at the picture on the box of my other Big 6 for help...I wondered why the car looked so realistic then realised Schumacher had used an Elise photograph - Doh!

A friend still has one of these in his loft... I sprayed the shell for it (that took alot of paint!) It was raced at a Schumacher BTCC series meeting at the WLRC circuit & was fitted with an early brushless system so was pretty swift! I had a drive of it & the handling was interesting to say the least.... kind of 911esque - understeer then 'woop' the back would spin round :-D However due to its size everything it did was in kinda 'slow motion' so when the back of the car did step out you could catch it.
