Hello Gents, This is the lazy children way to make a towing ring. I learned this method from another forum but there are no tutorial here so I thought I make one just in case you have not seen it. So follow the simple instruction below and you can make some towing rings while you wait for your next package to arrive.

Buy a pack of thermal ring at electronic store Detach the plastic part Bend the ring in any angle to conform the body Cut a slot into your body shell insert the ring from the back of the shell Before After

Aha, someone else that shops at Fry's. I don't think we will ever know why they put odd amount of rings in boxes. Nice tip, don't know if I will use it as I don't build those type of cars, but you never know.

VERY smart idea indeed, and a great tutorial on how-to...

Actually, i think i will try using the larger (and hopefully, stronger) sized rings on some scale-offroaders and crawlers..

Thanks for posting.

Cheers..

Thanks guys~ Brother Michael there are larger ones in size. You can solder the ring on the chassis and should be strong enought to actually use in tow.
