Yet again this has been a long time coming. Over the last 7 or so years since getting into collecting I must have bought and sold over 20 SRB's, carefully exchanging the nicer parts for my restos. This chassis has been built from a mixture of new and good used parts. I had some good used gearbox halves, wishbones, uprights and suspension arms sand blasted by a mate. I tried to use as many new period screws as possible in the build. Its rolling on some good used tyres and wheels with new CRP covers. The body has taken me four or five years to finish just like my other Rough Rider! It is a very good base which was stripped, filled and left in primer for ages. I finally decided to finish it this week before the colder weather sets in and the quality of finish is harder to achieve. I have about 30+ Tamiya TS spray paints but used the last of my TS-10 French Blue on my Scorcher and its currently unavailable in the UK. I decided to use automotive paints again so its Rover Pageant Blue over Vauxhall Glacier white with a coat of laquer. I think it came out well and the darker blue is in my opinion a better colour. The roll bar is satin black with yellow KC Daylighters as per box art. Decals are 90% original with only a couple of the excellent TC repros for the K+N and Western Auto's ones. I have a speedo and period radio gear to compliment but feel it makes it look untidy as this will be a shelf queen.
