Here is my interpretation of a Tamiya Clodbuster - introducing 'DragonFire'. After reading about the Clod vs USA-1 in a 1990 RCCA at the age of 15 I wanted one. Great dreams and no cash LOL!! Fast forward 18 years of blur and here it is. I was going to build a stocker with JPS bits, but that came to a dead end. Out of the blue, a G-Made Dragoon chassis popped up on ebay for a reasonable price. It's a classy chassis and IMO bodes well with the body. I added a Proline 2007 Chev Silverado body, airbrushed and signed by ZielkeRacing. I turned up a body mount system using Velcro for a better look.
Steering lock was not great with the G-Made axle housing reinforcing plates, so I turned the back of the hub carriers down to provide clearance to obtain full lock. Without RWS, it still has the turning circle of a supertanker LOL. Thanks to Backtomyroots and Twinset for input on the knuckles. This help results in completing our models!!
'Well-Made' G-Made shocks were added. They go together easily, pretty much the same as Tamiya's, though the shock body is inverted for filling with oil.
The Clod lid and Bowtie grill/tailgate has been saved for a future scale truck (when funds allow hmmm). Hope you enjoy the pics. As usual, my dopey but adorable cat liked to see what was going on.

Outstanding ! That G-Made Dragoon is an excellent choice for the Clod Buster drivetrain.

Sweet truck, I always have a soft spot for Clod axle projects for the same reasons.

Thanks for the kind comments guys. Although I used to work for the Blue Oval (FoMoCo) I reckon GM's Silverado is a sweet looker, especially the 2005 model IMO. Hopefully GM (& Ford and Chrysler) can find enough cash to see things through the immediate future.
