Reproduction Porsche 934 Speed Control
Hi all. I have been looking for a Porsche 934 speed control for some time now (about 6 years) and came to the conclusion that i was not going to find one. What to do!!. My answer was to build a reproduction speed control. With the help of TC member 'MARKMWS' who supplied me with pictures of a genuine speedo stripped down (Thanks again!!) i have created the prototype you see here. It is not exactly the same as the original as i could not get some of the original materials. The eyelets i used are 5mm when they should have been 3mm. This meant i had to resize the plastic spinners a tiny bit to accomodate them and the copper pieces that hold the contacts had to be widened on the inside diameter for the same reason. The material was a tiny bit thinner than original. For he pcb board i made a template and used an acid etch process to get the correct contact pattern. I have just tested it and it works great , all in all i am very happy with it. Once i have sourced the correct materials i am going to make a batch of them which i will then offer on TC. Cheers!!!
The PCB Board The spinner copper arms The spinner parts The spinner parts assembled The PCB with wires attached Same as above reversed The finished item!! (lots of hard work!!!)

Sweet, very nice job! I had to do a similar thing for my boat once, acid etch PCB is great stuff. These look like factory items

Thanks for your comments lads, they are appreciated. 'MARKMWS' has now sent me a diagram and pics of the metal servo stay that sits between the controller and the plastic mounts ( Thanks again mate), i will make these as well. The 'W' plastic parts tree with the speedo cover and mounts on was included in the Tamtech 934 kit so are reasonably available.
