A great conspiracy took place in December '08 when my girlfriend Shannon found about a NIB Loctite Nissan Skyline GT-R N1 that I was talking about with a fellow tamiyaclub member..
Behind my back.. Phone calls were made, emails were written and the grand result..

You can't imagine my surprise when I unwrapped a NIB vintage Tamiya Loctite Nissan Skyline GT-R N1 on Christmas day. I still can't believe it. The effort involved in getting it here in time for Christmas was substantial. My deep thanks and much appreciation go out to Mr. Mike Chewball (aka chewball), you are awesome, thank you for parting with this. And of course many thanks to the lovely Shannon for making this happen.

The significance of this for me is huge. Besides the fact that she did this, Shannon built her first kit recently a 58411 Nissan GT-R which can be seen in the showroom, she of course did a great job and is currently building a HotShot. Check out the pictures of her building it in the showroom.

The 58155 was the first Tamiya kit that I raced professionally. I raced it for a year in more than 100 R.O.A.R. events and retired it after purchasing the 58177 TA03F PRO. I continued to run the Loctite body at all the R.O.A.R. and Tamiya events eventually winning over 20 regional titles.

Oh... Shannon does not have any sisters.

Ya know,,,, I just had to say that you may start a trend of people posting pics of their girlfriends along with the RC stuff and things could get out of hand. (As this site is primarily a male audience). Luckily, (kudos to you) you have posted a 'safe' photograph of your lovely girlfriend..........I dont think everyone has that kind of good judgement --unfortunately. I cant remember the last time someone posted a pic of their girlfriend on TC.. Cheers!

So if she doesnt have any sisters.......maybe that is why she is interested in RC cars???
