I thought I'd put up a few picks of my latest project. It's not quite finished yet but I had the opportunity to take it to the beach for a few poser pics.
The idea for this one came from 7.2inchdriver and his roof-rack equipped Baja. Great stuff mate!!
I used an original VW colour on the body (can't recall the name!!) and then coated it in matt clear for a different look.
The roof racks are made from brass stock and the surf board is from the new Hilux kit painted in a period style.
The wheels, motor cover and gearbox cover are are super-quality items from Rad then painted. Thanks again for the awesome stuff mate!

The interior is a Scollins kit with the driver being a Holiday buggy item cut and grafted in.
Some more pics to follow and some action shots when I get it finished..

The driver is a holiday buggy driver, I just cut out the Scollins driver and glued it in from underneath, the in smothed the join with good old auto bodyfiller and painted them with oil paints for the flesh tones. I'll post better pics soon as i get organised...

Very nice, I like the paint scheme and really like what you’ve done with the interior. I’ve got one to do and I’ll be very happy if it comes out looking half as good as this

Fantastic bug. The detail on the interior is amazing - love the tropical shirt on the driver. So many great details. One question - where are you finding the mini Mobil Pegasus decals? I am trying to do a scale 'Outlaw' Porsche 356 in the style of Gary Emory and I could use a few for the front quarter. Again, first rate work on the Bug and great shots on the beach.

That's an awsome looking bug mate x] is the surf board from a hilux kit? And what about the lil things that keep it tied to the roof lol? Are they also from a hilux kit or custom made? (:
