Hi all!

This is a happy story. About two weeks ago I sat and talked to some collugies at work, we came to talk about RC. Then one of them asked if I still drive them, sure I do I told him. Then he said that he got some buggy at home with a beetle shell. Now my heartrate doubled in two seconds, I asked him how old it was, and he said that it had been his sons for about 20 or so years ago. Now I were about to faint, could be a Scorcher or maybe a Kyosho Beetle. I told him that if it was what I thought it was it could be worth some money. He said that that didn't matter, all the car did was collect dust. Today he brought it to me, and guess what it was... just look at the pictures... :D .. so I guess time for miracles ain't ovet yet.. lol.. think I will restore it to something more than a runner..

WOW - Great find. I'm like that at the local car boots when RC models are well under priced. Still trying to perfect my poker face lol

My oh My. 'SIGH' I only hear about the buggies people remember that they stripped and later threw away. Great find and great miracle.

Nice find! MK1 gearcase, MK2 front end, it seems. Body has the worst paint job that I have ever seen !! By the paint 'damage' on the edge of the fenders (wings) looks like it may have been rolled a few times? Hope the roof guttering isn't bad as a result... Wow that window looks horrible but may clean up. I can't tell how yellowed it is? It's missing all the usual expensive parts - rear lights, indicators, door mirrors, exhaust, but at least you seem to have both door handles and with some Chrome left on them? Should clean up nicely as long as damages are minimal. Good luck! Cheers, Alistair G. (Live_Steam_Mad on TC)
