So, I've been working on the car all day and this is the result. I have added the decals and made a fueltank dummy to fill out the room under the trunk. I still need to attach the scoop and do tail pipes and mirrors etc. I think I will add an interior too, just all black and low detail.

1 I think the car sits pretty well now The HPI wheel cutouts still shows! Homemade scoop HEMI style Dogdish VW wheels with Smoothies Need to black-out the scoop CC-01 chassis converted to RWD Lengthened wheelbase and dummy fueltank

This is very similar to what I'm doing right now - I also have an XC axle for the rear and I am using a combination of M04 and TL01 parts for the front end. I was planning to make custom chassis rails and a touring car gearbox. I have an old style Nissan Skyline body (best detail and closest to an American car that I could find) to fit on it...

Exellent use of the xc-chassis! Awsome detail, and to be able to see the fat, rear axel like that... Muscle car indeed!

Yepp, any Mopar muscle wil do in my book! 67 Dart sounds sweet too! When I'm not working on my 1/10 scale, I work on my 1/1 scale '71 Roadrunner. She still needs some work though!

Awesome bud, possibly the best use for a XC Chassis!

Dang that might be the coolest thing I've seen on TC, nice work buddy! I had a passing thought once about using the axle fitted with leafs from an XC on a Muscle car project but not the whole chassis. My dad drove a 70 Challenger in British racing green back in the day and my grandad sold Mopars so i always get excited to see one done like this, also very tasteful and subtle!

Great idea and great results. Will it so a scale burnout if you throw some bleach down on the street? Needs a Hemi electric motor, painted orange. Coolness!

great use of whats out there and fusing it all together, looks like smoothies with some lines cut in it for tires(brilliant), but what are the rims?

That is awesome!! how does it handle? I NEED to build me a General Lee like this! You should get a RC4WD Dana rearend to center that pumpkin...

Absolutely gorgeous! Fantastic job and very inspirational! Does it handle 'correctly' too

Thanks guys, I'm glad you like the car. I dunno how it handles with smoothies and RWD yet! The wheels are Tamiya Beetle wheels painted black around the dogdish center. The tyres are standard grasshopper smoothies. I got the idea for the wheel/tyre combo from TC member Soontie who used them on his Ford truck.

I think it will handle quite poorly and be really fun to drive! Back in the day I had a Hot Rod based on a Hornet rear axle, steel front axle, a hot motor and smoothies in all 4 cornes. Simply amazing to drive, the rear smoothies didn't last for long though!

This is the best looking Muscle Car I have seen here on TC! The body sits great shile showing the rear 'pumpkin' (axle), and the dogdish wheels are vintage MOPAR, nice touch - LOVE IT

Nice detail on adding the fuel yank. That seems to be the main problem these are bug cars in real life so a true scale shell like this one needs a lot of work on the chassis to look good. Great job and also true to the real thing, great detail and the wheels are spot on!! )

Ill try that again with decent spellings... Lol Nice detail on adding the fuel tank. That seems to be the main problem these are big cars in real life so a true scale shell like this one needs a lot of work on the chassis to look good. Great job and also true to the real thing, great detail and the wheels are spot on!! )
