Pretty froggy
E-bay find. 1983 model (with Tamiya TEU 101 BK ESC and re-release body) in good condition, at reasonable price. Surprisingly, no one seemed to be interested but myself. Just removed some stickers, shifted some other ones and applied some home-made ones (Tamiya in japanese, rising sun, and the classical 'Follow-me...if you can !').
Other home-made parts are: Side battery holders (A1 parts) in more flexible plastic, transparent primary transmission cover, straw-type antenna, working leds operated front lights fixed on chassis via unbreakable stays, driver figure with leds as eyes, and complete arms holding a steering wheel. The figure hides a battery case (cut from a toy) for 2 AA batteries which are independent power source for eyes or front lights, by switch. Rims were simplified to one-piece each (boltless), in order to remove tyres easily. The bumper was shortened.

That's sweet. We need more pics.

Pretty cool sounding and looking mods, can we see some of the rest of the mods, looking for that transparent gear cover myself.

I hope the mods are part of a tutorial before too long. I think the wheel mod is cool and much more custom wheel looking than the original design. Thanks for the extra photos.
