Toyota Land Cruiser

After starting during the Christmas holiday, I finally managed to finish my Land Cruiser project this weekend. It’s a Land Cruiser body-set on TA-02 chassis with black hummer gearboxes. It’s a perfect chassis for this scale project, it has the correct wheelbase and good ground clearance.

Off course I couldn’t just add the body to the chassis with hummer wheels and tires. It just screams for some more details like bumpers, winch, roofrack, interior etc… The front bumper from a pumpkin is just perfect for the proper scale look. I also added the well known winch, fire extinguisher and fuel tank from the wild willy 2. I also really wanted to give this car a nice interior, which is now complete custom build with dashboard, rear seats and tb-01 drivers. I’m really pleased how this came out. Also the roof rack is custom build from styrene.

Color choice was another dilemma, should I go for red, camel yellow, light blue or something else!? I finally followed my girlfriend advise and went for brilliant blue. I think she was right, it’s a beautiful color and suits the car pretty well! Overall I really enjoyed this build and am really pleased with the end result!
