My axial based Land Rover has now been upgraded to a TLT-1 using the new axle kits which really improved the looks by making it narrower and the TLT axles also drive better since they have a little play and don't chatter when turning like the scorpion axles did. I shaved the axles smooth with a dremel and locked the diffs with XC/CC lockers front and rear. I found these beautifully custom welded steel 3 link mounts on ebay from a very nice guy who makes them and I made some new upper links from old carbon arrows, I fitted some Rc4wd hard steel output gears, rc4wd straight axle conversion in back, made a servo mount out of metal scrap and added some 80mm scale shocks from RC4wd. The overall look I was going for is stock looking truck, I wasn't going for lots of articulation etc. Still waiting for at least some snow to melt so I can actually drive without getting stuck lol!

Just small changes make it feel more stock lots of GC Still need to detail it A little lower than before finally fit inside arches I might add a working winch Simple TCS chassis quality Steel 4 link mount from ebay

Seth, this looks awesome, I really dont see how you can improve it much more other than a driver in the interior!

Thanks guys, the body came from ebay where TC member RA1028 sells them sometimes. As for articulation I'll take it out soon but I didn't build this for performance I just wanted it to look like a stock landy when its driving so it can only flex a little over an inch which would be a lot for a real stock truck if scaled up. but the suspension is silky smooth so I'm guessing it will be quite the scale crawler based on some basement climbing I've done already

I'm a Tamiya fundamentalist, and I rarelly like these kind of projects, but I must say that your work is of very high quality, and that the results are awesome. Your Land Rover is a 10.
Have a great weekend!

Thanks a lot, I would have to say my favorite part about Tamiya is that unlike so many other brands which focus on insane speed, or RTR with Tamiya products you can run the gamut between so many aspects of the brand, Vintage, modern, hybrids, customs, trucks, cars, monsters etc. I guess there is something for everyone under the big T
