Built from scratch Alfa Romeo P3 Tipo B
I Have no update on my scorcher at min as i have bin to busy to work on it. So i thought i would share with Ya one of my other projects! This thing has taken me a long time to finnish. I started it in 1992 would you believe? I finnished it in 07! Well almost? I still have wheel spinners, dummy G/Box & dials to do! But apart from that and painting the wheels red its done. Everything apart from wheels i have scratch built in 1/2 scale. it runs on a 12v motor with Batt hidden inside the dummy strait Eight motor. Body i made from ply. I would have made it in alloy? but when i started this i was unemployed and skint! So had to make cheeply. I might make something else next year? So if i do, i will make that one out of alloy.

Fantastic work!!!
If Tamiya would make a 1/10 Series vintage racecars like the Alfa - Blower Bently - Mercedes SSKL - Bugatti 35/37, I would be the first to buy it.
So please Mr. Tamiya - make my dream come trough!

Unbelievable! I like these type of old racers most form all the cars ever made. So radical and simple, beauty in its best form. I am impressed with how you copied this. Cant believe it's hobby work. Piece of art, Brilliant!

That is stunning. Where were the wheels and tires sourced??? Are those pizza pie pans on the front wheels inboard.

Hi Crash Cramer. The wheels n tires came from a 1980s fizz pop bang scooter thingy? It took me for ever to find four. although at the time they were the only wheels that were close to the overall diameter that i needed. they just dont look right to me! so i might have to make some from scratch? but then that leads on to more changes? like the drums which i scaled up slightly to match wheels. Oh Bugger! And then there is the prob of getting tires to fit my one off wheels?? Mmm? That would have bin a good idea to use pizza pans for drum brakes though! Thanks for all the positive comments guys!
