Hi all, this is one of those suppose it had to happen sooner or later type cars...
I have been making oval racer Reliants for about 10 years now and in all that time ive tried so hard not to make a 'Del Boy' Regal and im afraid for this years brighton modelworld show I sucummed!
ive seen a few of my Reliants here on TC - saw one the other day in taffys showroom but ive never admitted responsibility lol - im the guy selling them on ebay with the General Lee painted Robin as a main Picture.
Anyway im not here to plug my cars just to show you this one and here goes.
Its a cnc cut 1.6mm fibreglass chassis the motor mounts are from a V12/R12 car as is the front wishboneand upright, speedo and battery holder.
the rear axle is from an R12 Mini/Rebel - it is possible to fit this with a V12 type but I prefer the more scale look of the narrower one.The shell is a Kamtec Regal Van painted in Fiat Broom yellow (just because i like the name) , Stickers by me :-) - including a tiny 'Tax in Post' tax disc lol. It was weathered with a large aerosol of steel wheels spray randomly splurged over it - I did mask off the sweep of the windscreen wipers and unmask them halfway through the weathering which I think worked well.It also has a roof rack with matching suitcase made from brown painted masking tape which was not fitted at the time of these photos but Ill post some more soon :-)
thanks for looking, comments more than welcome

Steering Detail Its usual shell - well raced lol As I ship them

Ha ha the I remember the 1st Pinky cars and i have to admit the shells have come on a bit since then - i think Hunter now has the old pattern for those, Arcade models in Romford also does a 3 Wheeler but hes been a bit quiet lately. Would love to get a proper national set of rules for these and level the playing field a bit, mine are built to the original Pinky cambridge rules from way back and its these that most clubs still use
