A grasshopper Super G and Hornet racing together part II

This week end, a local Club had for the third year in a row a vintage week end. Over 300 cars were there, and of course, there were many races. One of the race was a 'standard 2wd ' race. At first, my new built Grasshopper II was just there for the show, as my friend had his old traxxas TRX1.
Of course, nothing went right. He could run the qualifying race because the sport tuned would not fit the TRX, than the radio would not work. So, (as he is a very good friend), I took a spare receiver, removed the TEU101 that was in my egress and fitted it into the grasshopper, and told him, 'come on, use the grasshopper and go racing'.
That's how my new built grasshopper became a racer .
Of course, it was just for the show, apart from a hornet, the others cars were RC10, astute, madcap and other 'real' race car. But, believe it or not, I was really pleased to see my car racing, because
- my friend really enjoyed his race
- he raced against a Hornet
- and the most important, it took me back 18 years ago, when we were racing with some friends on a home made track, Grasshopper 1 vs hornet vs grashopper 2 vs monster beetle vs nikko dictator 2.
