This is my second Pajero build and I think it turned out pretty much as I had in mind. I've seen so many great things since I built my first one, so I have tried to add as much details as I could (afford). My original plan was to build a Pajero with no bumpers, big tires and lots of travel on the dampers, but soon realized that the XC chassis is a little limited for this and I just couldn't cut the bumpers off a brand new shell. (So I bought myself a third kit for doing that later:..LOL!)
Here's some specs:
- Cleaned the rear side windows with styrene (thanks for the idea archway66)
- Wheels: Custom painted TopCad aluminium rims with Trail Doctor tyres (thanks for the tip def4x4)
- Roof rack and ladder built of 3mm styrene (very, very light and seems solig enough)
- Modified the chassis for a nice angled skid plate. (thanks for your help 7.2inchdriver)
- TLT-1 dampers in rear. I also installed TLT dampers in the front and gained about 1cm more trave upwards, but they're too soft, so I have changed them back to standards at the moment. (thanks for all help and info ranger blue)
- Weight in wheels. Used spiral lead meant for fishing and have added 100 gr in each wheel. (thanks for the tip Wild Trial)
- HPI Savage front bumper and painted extra lights. (LED kit)
- Modified the standard sloppy 4-link into a 3-link with strong links.
- Modified steering knuckles for better steering (thanks for the info chain driven)
- Mudflaps (will probably make some new ones later, thinking red ones)
- Snorkel (Thanks for the tip _miga_)
All comments are welcome, and don't hesitate to ask if you have questions regarding this build. Sorry for not having runner pics and I'm embarresed having such bad pics in my showroom, but the weather in Norway are so bad these days. Pics will come! :-)
EDIT: TLT dampers in front have been installed again with modified Lunch Box shocktowers and streched TT01 springs/ springbase. Now they work perfect!

Morten: a really impressive build! It seems you have asked a lot of people for help and it shows: It's a really unique and great looking truck. I bet it drives well too. Curious about the lead inside the wheels or tires: how did you do that? Glued?
