My first Scorpion

This is my first Kyosho Scorpion. I found it on Ebay in 2008. I don't know exactly why I bought it, most likely because I got to know the vintage RC cars on TC and also wanted to have one. Furthermore I admired those Kyosho buggies in the Graupner catalogue when I was a teenager and couldn't afford them from my pocket money at that time. This car was decribed by it's former owner as in a very good condition. Luckily this was indeed true, there aren't even scratches on the chassis' lower side. An old Graupner radio is still in place, I don't know if it works because I haven't tried it, yet. I intended to ride this little rascal at least once on a racetrack and put it back on the shelf afterwards. Unfortuantely the original tires got perish, so my plans had to be postponed. In the meantime I got 2 more Scorpions, so this particular one might remain a shelf-queen. Perhaps I will replace the body shell because I don't like the brownish colour that has been applied to the outside :-(
