Well I found an Auction on our trading site that had a Hornet, original Sand Scorcher Decals and a pretty tidy looking Audi Body missing a little bit of the rear arch (had been fitted to the Hornet... The Hornet has gone, the Decals are cut out ready and the Body was awaiting for a chassis. Turns out Don aka Bluefoot has one for trade so a deal was struck and in less than a week I have the 2 together making almost a complete car. I need the rear body mount bracket :( I really like the look of the fast back shell and quite a defining shape of many 80's sports cars... God I miss my Cordia Turbo :( Anyways... a little bit of time spent with this car and it should turn out pretty nice, it has nice bones :) I have 4 of the 6 spotties... hmmmm UPDATE: 14/6/11 Got a Team Blue Groove Opel body for this one, soon to restore/tidy up the chassis and find some better wheels!

Brings back sweet memories. The buggies claimed all the fame and these were kind of sidelined I'd say, along with the Ascona. Really like the look of this. Nice find!

Nice pickup James. These things seem to be as rare as rocking horse poo. I can sort of understand why, I can't imagine there were too many sold considering what else would have been on offer at the time. That said, it always amazes me how just about everything Mr Tamiya turned out back in the 80's still has me wanting one now.
