Last week I had a small roll-over with my Blazer. Later I realized that the original roll-over bar had some small cracks. And when I realized that its weight was about 130 g (including my alloy roof plate) I decided to change something:

- This special roof is made out of 6 mm alloy and is slightly lower than the original roof.

- The parts are mounted together using M 2.6 screws.

- Would be an option to also add the rear bars but do not know yet. What do you think?

- Weight is now about 80 g, so saved 50 g at the top (less roll-overs)

- The rear metal thingy is the cover for my speaker.

Looking forward to have a long drive in 2 weeks.

And I need something to mount at the 2 rear empty holes. Any suggestions?

Very nice! I would add the rear bars going from the roof bars back to the holes at the rear of the bed. You could possibly make them from plastic or hollow alloy tube to minimize weight?

Fit the rear bars for sure - nice job on the main roll bars by the way
