How to prep & re-furbish a Monster Beetle chassis!
Due to their age MB chassis can sometimes fade with sun damage, have damages & scuffs from careless drivers or just be in need of a different colour to match the shell, so here's how I re-furbish my MB chassis!!!

Lol. Wish You posted this a little earlier...
Got the advice from a now forgotten member to cook the plastic parts with some machinewash detergent. First thing that happened to my red Monster Beetle chassis was that it turned pink.... 'What do you know! Ok, I´ll just paint it black then!' Paintwork came out allright and it was time for reassembly, thats when I discovered that many of the holes were out of place. The whole chassis had actually shrunk so mush that the front bodymount were almost 1 cm further back!
But Your tip seems harmless enough, I´ll try Your approach next time....

I would have posted this earlier, but I'm new to the site. If you heat any sort of plastic up it will warp once it reaches a certain temperature, DON'T use boiling hot water as it may affect the plastic just some warm soapy water will do the trick!!!

Great article!- I have found car body acrylic plastic primer is best stuff for the priming coats- it sticks like the proverbial to hard plastics and is a great base for top coats.
