Jeep Wrangler Re-re

This is my re-re Jeep Wrangler in RC Jeeps.com colours. It is the third of my CC01 chassis’d cars following a Touareg (now a Land Rover) and re-re Pajero. I love these cars because they look so scale straight out of the box and remember gazing at the Tamiya catalogue pictures thinking “wow, these look great, but I doubt if I’ll ever have one.” Well nearly 20 years later here it is courtesy of Stella Models. (I got bored waiting for them to become available in the UK so snapped up 2 BIN – 1 for my son also). This one is painted in Peugout Seville (nice orange) and is fitted with full bearings from RC Bearings, a Novak 55t motor with Mtroniks Eco 27 ESC. It has a Proline Roof Rack & accessory pack along with home made shovel. Wheels are Topcad from Dinball on ebay and I will probably put some SDI Trail Doctors on them. The front skid plate is from Junfac and I have wired up the lights with the supplied lighting unit. I also filed away the light fittings to make room for the faux winch. Before painting I sanded down all the mould release lines as I think these are some of worst I’ve seen. I have also fitted a radiator behind the grill made from some mesh from a shredder bin painted silver. It fills in the otherwise blank area quite nicely. In the future I would like to add clear windows and an interior. I think this is going to be an ongoing project. At the moment I’m very pleased with the way it has all come out and look forward to running it in some of my favourite scale trail sites. I hope you enjoy looking at it. Cheers. Paul.
