Hello Folks. This little project is bit of an impulse build. I was chatting with Brother TIMECMDR about building a Lexus and he suggested I build the IS200. Okay so I did lol~ I felt the Tamiya IS200 is a bit plain so I did some research and found the Castrol version. Thanks to Brother Tamiyoman's generous offer I was able to purchase the body from him. I decide to use the HPI swoosh decal for this project and let me tell you what a struggle lol~ however it was a fun experience and I really enjoy the build, and I hope you like! :D

Thanks Brother Pagedm and Brother Henk. I'm very flattered and appreciate the comments. I'm just having a good time building and hopefully share the experience of what happen if HPI decal using on the Tamiya body. Not the best fit but it would still work ok~

Do you have a normal job ?? Cannot believe the amount of stunning models your popping out. Do you run any of them ??

Victorious Secret

17-Jun-2009

Thank you gentlemen for the kind words. Brother RallyeBaz, yes I do run some of them lol~ I try to make the models balanced between durability, graphic representation, and semi-realism. That's why you don't see me mounting rearview mirrors or other finer details. They all can be run at a momonts fitting! Brother Case1, I work during the day and build during the night while watching TV lol...before I know it its done lol Brother Vin87: I think you will really like this version. It would look great next to your Corolla!

This looks seriously good . Detailing of the panel lines really made the difference

Victorious Secret

17-Jun-2009

Thanks guys~ Brother Flux Density, the panel line is really just a graphic representation of the real thing to make the car pop out little more. To be honest it is not really 'realistic' per se, but somewhat better than leaving it blank which looks blend and toy like.

Brother Tecnical Brup: That's awesome!! HPI's decal is excellent however they lack the correct sponsor decals. Just fill those which your decal library and it will work wonders!!
