Budweiser Datsun looks good - but our local bavarian beer tastes better ;-)

About 12 months ago I got this car from an ebay trade for a reasonable price. I restored the chassis to like new and working condition, aand hopped it up with a few Lola parts.

BUT I didn't dare to paint the new body set I also got (I think from Jason).

There is one Datsun painted awesome in box art on TC. It is the one from koenc. He did a great paintjob on this car.

So I asked him to give me some hints to get such an amazing result. And so he kindly did.

OK - another couple of months went by with many other projects. But two weeks ago I dared to paint the shell. Hours of masking, painting, masking, painting... Puhh.

Last weekend I finished the painting and decalled it. So it's far away from koencs Datsun, but I like it.

It's one of my favorite Tamiya cars.
